Last weekend the Go+France team was gathered to continue our sports ministry process in France.

That’s why we are proposing a time of prayer each Friday at noon (CET) with our partners from Fondation NextMove. These gatherings happen primarily in English so don’t worry, you shouldn’t feel too lost!

Project Transformation
Interview with Matt Gwynne, head of project Transformation
Fred : Matt share with us what exactly is project Transformation ?
Matt : Transformation is the first major project under the coordination of GO+France, an organization whose objectives include the partnering of missionaries and mission teams from around the world with the local church here in France. More specifically, Transformation is the overall name for the many opportunities for outreach during the Rugby World Cup in 2023.
Projet
The first weekend of October, 2022 we intend organize a 2-day “Kick Off” conference that will take place at one of France’s most well-known sports venues.
Our objectives are:
• To invite and inspire leaders, pastors and denominational influencers regarding the incredible opportunity that sports, fun and fitness offer to us as a tool to multiply disciples.
• To officially launch the first major project of Go+France:
Transformation a celebration of God moving through sport, fun and fitness during the 2023 Rugby World Cup!
Our first major challenge :
the baseline budget for Kick-Off is 15000€. We currently have about 1/3 of what we need. We need your help if this is going to happen!
Our website is up and running !!
Another huge step !
Once fully operational, the website will offer a list of individuals and groups that are already trained as well as an aid to locate where and when specific ministry events are taking place, an all-important step towards attaining our objective of 2030 by 2030.
Keep checking back as we add content and new opportunities!
Go+ France…and we’re off !!
As olympians from around the world gather to compete, our team is also at the starting blocks of a new year, a year which will see us take our next step in the construction of Go+France. Of course we’ll continue to reinforce our current leadership team with new partners who bring an added “savoir faire” to the group. That will always be the case because the worldwide sports movement seeks to encourage diversity in unity.
The number of organizations who have joined the Christian sports movement in France already stands at 15 and we’re still growing! Added to that are individual leaders and volunteers committed to what God is doing through sports, fun and fitness in France. The opportunities for ministry are endless and we want to stay open to anyone God sends our way.
